Building a Foundation

Why does a home need a foundation? A foundation holds the house above the ground. It keeps out moisture and insulates against the cold. With a proper foundation, the house will resist movement in the ground around it. http://img.hgtvpro.com/HPRO/2011/04/14/gh11_foundation_system_w609.jpg

Select Architecture, wall and then foundation.

Draw the perimeter of your foundation.

1. Add a level to the Bottom of your Foundation. Under floor plan, right click and rename “foundation”.

IF you would like, change the depth of your foundation.

Adjust the actual depth of your foundation to the new height.
