Averages….. In table form. We will start with discrete data i.e. the data can only take certain values e.g. shoe size.
 Median- middle number. If it is a even numbered list, take the middle two numbers, add them and divide by two.  Mean- average, add list of numbers.

Mean, median, mode and range By: joanna, Alec and David

Alec 0.29 0.21 0.23 David 0.22 0.25 Joanna This table shows the time that took to run around the adventure play ground.

Mode Mode is the most number in the number line so if it was: 21,21,21,22,22,23,23,25 and 29 so the most number will be 21 because it is the most popular.

median Median is the number in the middle of the number line so if we need to work out this will be our number line:21,21,21,22,22,23,23,25,29so the median number will be 22 because it is in the middle. The most important thing you need to know is when you have your number line you need to put the numbers in order.

mean The mean is the meanest because you need to work out like: 21+21+21+22+22+23+23+25+29=? So i guess you will say it is hard so my answer is 207.

range The range is the difference between the highest and the lowest.{for example if the highest number was 29 and the lowest number was 21 then the range number is 8 .
