Outline We describe here the present status of the LISN magnetometer network operation and data collection. Five triaxial magnetometers were deployed and installed since 2007 at Leticia-Colombia (2009), Puerto Madonado- Peru(2007), El Leoncito-Argentina (2008), Cuiba-Brasil (2010), Alta Floresta-Brasil (2010) New magnetometers developments and improvements plans for upgrading the existing IGP and LISN magnetometers LOW LATITUDE IONOSPHERIC SENSOR MAGNETOMETERS NETWORK

Data Collection (Sep. 9-10, 2011

The experimental considerations of the current magnetometers in operation have led us to develop and construct a new high performance fluxgate magnetometer at Jicamarca. Internal GPS has been incorporated for precisely and timing software controlled of the overall magnetometer operation. We describe also a development plan for a new data acquisition system based on embebed and stand alone system which is being carried out at IGP. Hardware Development LISN Magnetometer System

Conclusions and Recommendations Five magnetometres are operating in near real time. There are some data gaps in the reported data due to logistical problems such as Internet and lost of data due to stations AC power outages or PC fails. It is recommended to have a periodical stations maintenance and calibrations at least once a year Upgrade the existing LISN magnetometers network with the new developed magnetometers Improve the logisic and communications beetwen operators

Conclusions and Recommendations MANY THANKS The JRO LISN Team Second LISN Workshop, San Jose Dos Campos, Nov 07-10, 2011
