Presentation transcript:

Predicting Scrape-Off Layer profiles and filamentary transport for reactor relevant devices   A statistical framework was developed to interpret and predict SOL profiles based on the statistics and dynamics of the filaments. We developed novel experimental data analyses and 3D turbulence simulations in full geometry to provide input to the framework. The reduced model successfully matched experimental profiles at JET and MAST. The framework can be used as a tool for more reliable extrapolations of SOL transport to new machines.
