What Led up to peace of augsburg? King Charles VIII of France led the first invasion on Italy This was the starting point to the Italian Wars The Peasants’ War also caused Peace of Augsburg Martin Luther was blamed for beginning these outbursts He sided with the nobles

What Happened? Martin Luther was at blame The people had no say in religion The Schmalkdic League (German Lutheran Princes) were allowed to have their subjects exercise either Catholicism or Lutheranism There was an unrest in religion in Germany and led to their change in religion
