Miss Representation

Plan for today: Today, we are going to watch a film that is exactly 1 hour and 30 minutes long, so we need to get started. Feel free to take notes. One of your assignments in the BEACH will be to write a paragraph in response to the film. I will be taking roll during the last five minutes of class to save time. If you are not here when I take roll, you will be marked absent.

Preparing to Watch: This documentary was released in 2011, and it is about how popular culture and media represent and portray women. We have talked about culture and identity, and in the second part of the class, we are going to be investigating how popular culture specifically play a role in how we identity and how we conceptualize others.
