Caboolture & Kilcoy Hospitals & Woodford Corrections Health Service February 2019

Welcome We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which we meet today, and pay our respects to elders – past, present and emerging.

Today Today, I will Explain the reason for the requirement to move staff offsite and the reasons why we have proposed the staff in the implementation plan Discuss the Location and Site Plan Talk about next steps including the consultation process Stay behind to answer questions More information: The Implementation Plan & Positions Affected Spreadsheet regarding the proposed change plan were made available to you as you arrived here and will be sent electronically to everyone after the meeting

Why offsite? Growth Our organisation is growing faster than we can build new infrastructure to support it The cost of building temporary office infrastructure onsite is significant and is not supported by MNHHS All workstations at Caboolture Hospital are now full, with limited hot desk capacity that is regularly filled by rotating & visiting staff from MNHHS, Projects, Kilcoy & Woodford There is no planned capital infrastructure development to accommodate staff available until the redevelopment works are completed in 2022 iEMR Project Rollout (50 staff) and Redevelopment Project Staff (25 staff) are required to be onsite and will commence later this year ‘Old’ Paediatric Outpatient Building is planned to be demolished to allow the new build to commence New Clinical Services and staffing are commencing this financial year and into the new financial year requiring additional clinical space and some office space

Why the proposed staff Key Principles Maintenance of existing clinical space and building capacity for additional clinical staff to have access to office space where possible was prioritised Priority was to only move non-hospital patient facing services (non hospital based clinicians & non hospital based clinician support services) Focussed on groups of staff that met the above criteria freeing offices or large office space instead of individual staff and pockets of space. This is allow sufficient space to move a new team into the same location rather than throughout various locations Clinical Staff that provide a home based non-acute & non-onsite ambulatory service were considered and included MNHHS non hospital based clinicians & support services to be located together (Recruitment, Occupational Health & Safety and Human Resources) Some provisions for services that are proposed to move offsite have been considered and included in the plan including: 2 MNIT/E-Health spaces & storage remains onsite 1 Medical Typing staff member remains onsite Research presence to remain Director and Coordinator to remain onsite
