The Unami Freshman House is pleased to announce its upcoming spring field trip… On March 20, 2019, the entire freshman class and their teachers will be heading to New York City to view a Broadway production. We will be seeing a 2 o’clock matinee for the new hit Musical Come From Away.

Come From Away Come From Away is a breathtaking new musical that takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of stranded airplane passengers in the wake of the 9/11 attacks and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Following the 9/11 attacks, 38 planes and 6,579 passengers were forced to land in Gander, Newfoundland, doubling the population of one small town on the edge of the world. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships. Based on interviews with locals, Come From Away is about how hosting this international community of strangers spurred unexpected camaraderie in extraordinary circumstances.

The trip will cost $110 per student. 01 This includes: the charter bus rental and the cost of the Broadway show ticket. 02 Payments can be made via MyPaymentsPlus beginning on November 1st and ending on January 4th.
