Greta Hydro Energy d.o.o. A branch of Greta Inc. Toronto, Canada Project: 6 Hydro Power Plants on river Bosna

Why hydro power? World energy requirements grow every day. Hydro power is a clean, renewable source of energy. By using renewable energy sources, we reduce our carbon footprint. Bosnia is rich in water, and has a lot of unused potentials, which makes it an ideal country for investing in hydro power.

About the project Project impact: A new source of clean energy. The project spans over the area of three municipalities: Žepče (HPP Begov Han, HPP Želeće and HPP Globarica). Zavidovići (HPP Potklečka polja, HPP Dolina). Maglaj (HPP Komšići). Overall investment 150 mil. €. The project will be funded wit 20 % own funds and 80% from loans, strategic partners or joint venture. Concept projects and pre feasibility study commissioned from Bičakčić d.o.o. Sarajevo and reviewed by Mott MacDonald (UK). Project impact: A new source of clean energy. Regulation of river banks and watercourse ecology. Mass workforce employment during the construction phase (5 years).

Summary Overall investment 150 mil. €, 20 % own funds, 80 % loans, strategic partner or joint venture. Total installed capacity of the HPP’s is 90 MW. Total annual production will be 375,58 GWh. With the current price of electricity (0,05 €/kWh), this translates into an annual income of 18.779.00,00 €. This means a return of investment (ROI) period under 8 years.
