WATER CYCLE

Learning Goals I will perform a web quest by visiting interactive web sites in order to analyze Earth’s Water Cycle.

Water Cycle Web Quest With the person next to you, you will visit different web sites on the Water Cycle. Each pair of students can use one lap top, or SMARTboard.

Water Cycle Web Quest First you will use an Anticipation Guide to determine if statements about the Water Cycle are true or false. Then as you visit the different web sites, you will be able to answer if the statements were true or false.

ANTICIPATION GUIDE The water cycle begins and ends in the ocean. ME WEB SITE STATEMENT The water cycle begins and ends in the ocean. Water in the ground is sometimes stored and used later. There is the same amount of water on Earth today as there was millions of years ago. Plants, like humans, actually sweat water out. The water cycle actually stops every now and again.

WATER CYCLE LINKS http://www.units.muohio.edu/dragonfly/water/watercycle.shtml http://www.kidzone.ws/water/ http://ga.water.usgs.gov/edu/watercyclesummary.html http://www.epa.gov/safewater/kids/flash/flash_watercycle.html http://earthguide.ucsd.edu/earthguide/diagrams/watercycle/index.html

Flow Map After you complete the Anticipation Guide and visit all of the websites, you will create a Flow Map of The Water Cycle.

Water Cycle

When you’re done Once the Anticipation Guide and Flow Map are both completed, SAVE YOUR POWERPOINT Revisit any of the Water Cycle Sites You will turn in the Flow Map at the end of class.
