The long a words will be using the final e. We will be working on main idea, details, consonant blends, prefixes, and parts of a book. Math- We will continue to work on Unit 2. This unit will cover subtraction strategies. We will use addition to connect with subtraction, making 10 to subtract, and related facts. Science-Matter and Energy Social Studies- All About Me and The Constitution Health- Germs and Stranger Danger I still have some students who have not turned in money for their class shirt, this was on the school supply list. Please send the $10 in CASH if you have not sent the money already. I cannot cash checks through the school office. We will be ordering the shirts in a few weeks. I will be sending home Johnny Appleseed Play parts on Monday. Please study these lines at home, so that at school we can do complete rehearsals of the play. They always do such a wonderful job performing. On September 29th, we will be having an apple tasting right after our play. On that Friday, you are more than welcome to send premade or homemade apple themed treats. I will be making homemade apple sauce with the students, but anything other than that is welcome!  On Parents Night I will speak about A.R., journals, test, and daily work.  My meeting time will be from 6:30-7:00 p.m. only.
