Chapter 8 Review Pre-Algebra

The perimeter of the triangle shown is 24 meters The perimeter of the triangle shown is 24 meters. What is the length of the shortest side of the triangle? X + 4 X 8 meters

Answer: Remember, perimeter is the total of all sides. 6 meters, X + x + 4 + 8 = 24

Fraction Fun! 3 4 (x + 8) = 6 3 16

Answer: X = ¼

2 5 x – 16 = 3 5 x - 14

Answer: X = -10

-3.7n = -22.2

Answer: N = 6

5 8 (x – 2) = 6 1 4

Answer: X = 12

Problem Solving: Review writing equations. Focus on how you would solve a multi-step equation. Remember to always think about what ‘x’ is. Essentially, note what you are looking for in the problem, that is your ‘x’.
