TSI Compliant PCS Mandatory Interface PCS-TTR Day 2018, Vienna

TSI Compliant PCS mandatory interface (Current situation) Request for the international service through PCS Mostly manually processed Double work and waste of human resources of IMs Additional costs for RUs To avoid this situation The project „TSI Compliant PCS mandatory interface” was proposed and apporved by RNE GA The members were asked To participate in the funding To nominate project managers Kick-off meeting for the RNE & RNE Members Funding project was organized (June 2018) Project overview letter with a basic information about the project was sent The project space (CMS) with tasks list was prepared The Kick-off meeting of the project managers was organized (November 2019) - additional costs for RUs in case that it is provided as a paid additional service (in case that IMs entered this data for RUs) 15 April 2019

TSI Compliant PCS mandatory interface (Goals) Key goal: Full implementation of mandatory TAF/TAP TSI technical interface to PCS for TT 2022 Goals: To ensure that an applicant is required to place its path request only once and data are up-to-date in both national and PCS Common implementation timeline for the interfaces and process is placed to secure the full benefits To lay down definite responsibilities & obligations of the involved parties and effective commercial & financial conditions in the PCS Interface Agreement for Users To provide the possibility of a common approach for CEF funding application 15 April 2019

TSI Compliant PCS mandatory interface (Benefits) To reduce the current double work (national system and PCS) Having PCS constantly updated RUs requested to enforce the use of PCS Data consistency check together with data quality control Common efforts to access European funding Note: The interface development is not mandatory, where it has no economic justification - The current double work, which is a wasting of human resources either of IMs/ABs or of applicants, will be significantly reduced - Having PCS constantly updated, IMs/ABs/RUs will benefit from an international central common application, which provides up-to-date information and is in compliance with the TAF/TAP TSI standards. PCS would be the pilot system for TAF/TAP TSI implementation and the first step of TTR IT landscape implementation and use of common design of process details - RUs requested to enforce the use of PCS in the "Memorandum of Understanding for the planning of international rail freight". This project will lay a new ground for this intention. - Data consistency check together with data quality control is ensured; IM-IM and RU-RU communication would be more effective - Common efforts to access European funding calls are ensured 15 April 2019

TSI Compliant PCS mandatory interface (Risks) Consequences in case of disagreement Late implementation of TAF/TAP TSI Late implementation of TTR Losing investments because of European patchwork Manual workarounds 15 April 2019
