2019 Institute Programing Link to online infographic: https://events.educause.edu/~/media/files/events/educause-institute/educauseinstituteinfographic.pdf But wait...the EDUCAUSE Institute is not just a thing...it is a series of programs and other offerings. Institutes are designed as Immersive Cohort-Based Programs. Over the next few years, you’ll hear me talk about our PL programming as formal and informal. The Institute programs are the core of our FORMAL offerings in the event portfolio. Institute experiences are designed to build skills within a manager, director, and leader role OR to build career pathways that support transitions to new roles.

Understanding the Online Event Portfolio

Unpacking Online Events Webinars: Educause Live! Industry & Campus ELI Webinar Corporate Learning Focus Sessions Encore! events Courses Recorded, asynchronous content Webinars: These one-hour, live events are complementary for EDUCAUSE members and examine a variety of important topics and trends in higher education such as teaching and learning, security, enterprise, and academic transformation. Focus Sessions: These single or multi-day events include 10-20 expert presenters on a specific topic. Focus sessions are live, allowing for real time exchange of ideas and they are recommended for institutional teams doing work on the event’s topic. Encore!: Companions to F2F events, Encores are single or multi-day events similar to Focus Sessions. They contain live and pre-recorded sessions developed as part of the companion F2F program. Courses: Online courses offer in-depth learning experiences through personalized project work with peers and experts. They generally consist of 2-4 live, interactive sessions lasting 1-2 hours each, over several weeks with asynchronous project-based work. Recorded: All of our online programming is recorded and available as asynchronous content post-live event.
