Meeting of Priority Area Coordinators, Horizontal Action Leaders, National Contact Points and Directorate–Generals 14-15 March 2011 | Brussels, Belgium INTERACT Point Turku

To facilitate practical implementation of OVERALL AIMS: To facilitate practical implementation of the European Union Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region To support cooperation – to get to know each other It will also include a broader discussion on targets, objectives and the future of the Strategy. The meeting will be a good opportunity to examine the development and needs of the Priority Areas more than one year into the implementation phase.

EUSBSR Roles and guidelines Communication SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: Cross-sectoral and cross-cutting links Targets and evaluation EUSBSR 1) To develop clearer support and guidelines for the roles of Priority Area Coordinators (and Flagship Project Leaders), Horizontal Action Leaders and National Contact Points; 2) To agree on communication needs; 3) To further cross-sectoral and cross-cutting links across the Priority Areas and Horizontal Actions. 4) To consider the adoption of targets for the Strategy and questions concerning evaluation and future needs;

WORKING METHODS: Conclusions Presentations Discussion groups Polish presentation on Presidency priorities (tbc) Estonian presentation on the joint Swedish – Estonian Concept Paper on Macro Regional Strategies (tbc) Presentation on indicators and evaluation by Veronica Gaffey Swedish presentation on targets (tbc) Discussion groups: Discussion in the cross-cutting groups during both days; Conclusions: Seminar conclusions of the day 1 and day 2
