Prepare To Meet Your God Amos 4:6-12

A Failure To Take It Seriously The need is universal (Heb. 9:27; 2 Cor. 5:10; Acts 17:31) Why aren’t more people making preparations? “Heaven is a prepared place for prepared people” No one stumbles into heaven or gets in by accident We make preparations—NOW!

A Failure To Take It Seriously Some may think they will be able to make a “death bed confession” Still others are seemingly able to conveniently dismiss the need A lame excuse Don’t want to be bothered Some DO prepare (Acts 7:59; 2 Tim. 4:6-8; Rev. 22:20)

Warnings To Prepare Matthew 25: The ten virgins (1-13); the talents (14- 30); the sheep and the goats (31-46) Other teaching (Matt. 6:19-20; Titus 2:11-15) Despite these warnings, a majority of people: Live without God Have no fear of God Set at naught God’s authority Do not observe God’s works or mark His judgments Live and act as if there is no God

What Preparation Is Needed? The kind that is Scriptural God’s way (Jer. 10:23) Not something else (Rev. 22:18-19) Prepare on this wise: Have faith in Christ (Jn. 8:24; Heb. 11:6) Repent (Acts 17:30) Confess faith in Christ (Matt. 10:32) Be baptized (Mk. 16:16) Be faithful (Rom. 12:1-2)
