Overview of Project METEOR: http://meteor.rit.edu METEOR Video

Current METEOR Projects: P08101 - Instrumentation Platform This team will continue to refine the latest hardware design, completely develop the necessary software, extensively test on the ground and flight test the Meteor Instrumentation Platform using a burst balloon and a zero-pressure balloon. P08102 - RITSAT1 This team will first focus on the associated software development and ground testing of RITSAT1, RIT’s first satellite. Then the satellite will also be tested in flight at least once, tethered from the Instrumentation Platform. P08105 – Hybrid Rocket Motor This team focus on further development of the hybrid motor design with an objective to achieve specific impulse of 220 seconds, produce a thrust to weight ratio of approximately 3:1 and achieve a burn time of 20 seconds at 80,000 ft in altitude. P08106 - Liquid HTPB/NOX Tanks and Rocket Stage Integration The purpose of the Rocket Integration Team is to accept the hybrid engine while incorporating the remainder of the major rocket subsystems.
