LT. Cunningham’s Class This week in: We are learning: Reading/Social Studies: We are starting a unit on figurative language. This week we are focusing on similes and metaphors. Math: We are starting a new chapter on dividing by a one-digit divisor. We will be focusing on dividing by multiples of 10, 100, and 1000. We will also starting on estimating quotients. Social Studies: We will be learning about how our skills and Interests help us make career choices and how to apply for a job. Important Reminders News Report cards come out on Friday Students will have normal homework this week. The students will be learning how to type for the next month instead of spelling. No spelling for the This month No spelling for the This month. We are working on our typing skills instead. Spelling City Students will take a pretest on Mondays. If they get all of the words on the pretest correct, then they don’t have to take a post test. Fridays are spelling test days and the results will be sent home either that day or Monday. You can also go online to see your student’s scores on activities and tests!
