Writer’s Workshop Launching – Day 7 (1.17) Teaching Point: Writers confer with mentors to recognize accomplishments and to focus on areas in need of improvement. Active Engagement: Meet with your teacher for a 2-3 minute conference to identify one strength and one area in need of improvement in your poem. Independent Practice: Prior to meeting with your teacher, identify two strengths and two opportunities to improve in your poem. After you meet with your teacher, revise your poem based on your conference notes and independent rubric.
