The King talks about Character - Matt 20 £65 a day

The King talks about Character - Matt 20 The key Kingdom character trait is humility The story of the vineyard workers teaches that: A ‘What’s in it for me?’ mentality isn’t appropriate in the Kingdom! God’s kingdom is about grace, not rewards Greatest example of humility is Jesus – v17f & v28

The King talks about Character - Matt 20 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Philippians 2:5-8

The King talks about Character - Matt 20 The key Kingdom character trait is humility The story of the vineyard workers: Teaches that a ‘What’s in it for me?’ mentality isn’t appropriate in the Kingdom! God’s kingdom isn’t about rewards, it’s about grace Greatest example of humility is Jesus – v17f & v28 How can we show this characteristic? In everything we try to think of others first Do the most we can do, not the minimum we can get away with We think of how our actions will impact others
