Trends in communications use in Africa In terms of trends over time, radio and television audiences are generally increasing across the continent, whilst newspaper markets are ore variable according to economic and political conditions. However, when compared to the growth in internet and mobile use, changes in offline media use are insignificant. This offers some hope for Africa’s levels of ‘digital opportunity’, and provides a rationale for this seminar!!
