Why are we studying this? This project will help us to understand - Jeju culture - the symbolism of a craft / image / sculpture We will learn how to - crosshatch - carve

How can we recognize a Jeju protection statue? What can you see? Shapes? Colours? Form? Explain what you like: I like… because…

Create a Crosshatch drawing of a jeju statue Things to remember… Sketch out the basic shapes first Use lines that are close together and overlap a lot to create the darkest tones Use lines that are more spaced out and not so overlapped to create the lighter tones
