Composite Number

Composite Numbers has more than 2 factors Numbers that are divisible by a number other than 1 and itself are called composite numbers. Composite Numbers has more than 2 factors Number Divisible by No of factors 6 has more than 2 factors. So it is a Composite Number 6 1,2,3,6 4 5 has only 2 factors. So it is not a Composite Number 5 1,5 2 17 has only 2 factors. So it is not a Composite Number 17 1,17 2 14 has more than 2 factors. So it is a Composite Number 14 1,2,7,14 4

Facts Composite number must be divisible by more than 2 numbers All composite number can be found by multiplying prime numbers. Example 4=2x2 , 6=2x3, 8=2 x 2 x 2

Try these Find composite numbers between 10 and 20 From the given number below list the composite number 5 , 14 , 17 , 3 , 4 , 9 , 11 21 , 31 , 33 , 17 , 27 , 19 , 15
