You MUST bring your student ID You will receive a tour of the library, be introduced to different genres, and select a book to check out. You will have four weeks to complete the reading and some of it will be done in class. Thursday: You must have your one subject spiral notebook Friday: You must bring your library book and parent letter signed. You will be given time to read and will complete a small assignment on your reading.

When you are done you may browse the internet. You may not go to music sites, facebook, or any inappropriate sites. This is a rare occasion do not abuse it. Reminder: When I give you the two minute warning you will logout. Please push your chair in when you leave.

SPIRAL SETUP - August 30, 2013 Pick up: a blue handout, an index card, and The white prefix/suffix sheet your spiral notebook from your period folder Turn in your parent letter LAST PAGE ONLY in your period folder Take out your library book Have a seat at the desk with your index card You will need to have your library book While waiting for attendance and instruction: Decorate the front of your spiral notebook You must write your name on the cover (if your cover is black you can tape an index card with your name on it)

Spiral Notebook Set UP Leave the 1st page blank Write your name at the top of the second page Write “Computer Passwords” as the title Copy the following information: www.kempenglish.weebly.com You can always find information you might need here.  www.achieve3000.com User name: write your user name from the index card Password: coronado Turn the page and write your name again at the top of the 2nd page Staple the blue “Lexia SOS” sheet to the page (Write your name on it)

On the next blank page Copy the Following Book Questions: Title of book By: Author’s name 1. What is the book about so far? 2. What do you like about the book? 3. Who is the main character? (give their name and tell something about them?)
