Tracking Sentence Starters

What is Tracking? Tracking is… A way to keep track of your thoughts while reading. A way for me to see what you are thinking while you are reading. Writing down what you are noticing, analyzing, and contemplating while reading. A way to help you connect to the text. An excellent way to take notes.

Sentence Starter Examples: This part of the text could be more effective if… My prediction of what will happen next is… One question that the text answers is… This reminds me of… This word or phrase stands out to me because… I can identify with this character because… The most important theme/message here is… How is it possible that… I wonder what this word means? I think it means…
