Overview This week we are focused on the power of choice and the natural consequences that come with each decision. The activities and videos provide students the opportunity to explore good and bad choices. The ability to make responsible choices plays a huge part in student success

Objective Student will understand they have the power of choice Explore impact of the choices they make Acknowledge things they cannot control Understand all choices will result in a consequence (positive & negative)

Thursday Choices and Consequences

Making Connections Every choice in life and in leads directly to a positive or negative consequence. Similarly, every consequence in life is caused by an individual's motivations, choices and mistakes. Every individual action involves choices and consequences. What is one good choice you made recently. What was the consequence? What is one bad choice you made recently? What was the consequence?

Video Debrief Kid President said we make thousands of choices a day. What are some choices you’ve already made today? Kid President said there are four choices for making choices. What are they? Impulsive: What does this mean? Do Nothing: He said “If you do nothing, you’ll be nothing.” What does that mean? Follower: He said to “focus on being someone worth following.” What does that look like? When is it ok to follow what others are doing? Be Thoughtful: What does that mean?
