Christians & Health: Our Body, a Temple

In the Interest of Health Issues around health: Longevity Morality Availability / government In the last 50 years there have been dramatic changes in the health care system in our country and in the whole world. People live longer, creating new issues to deal with. There are questions of the ethics and morality of medical treatmet and procedures, and well as the question of medical rights and government involvement. How does a Christian view this new world?

Purpose of being health conscious: Serving God – Philippians 1:21 Serving one another – Galatians 5:13 Ga 5:13 For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another Php 1:21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Your Body as a Temple Sin desecrates your temple A desecrated temple does not work: - Holy Spirit’s seal is broken – Hebrews 6:4 - Prayers are not heard – John 9:31 - Sacrifices are not accepted – Malachi 1:10 Heb 6:4 For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame.
