Failure to understand the atoning work of Christ. The only reason specifically given in scripture for a believer’s illness is failure to discern the Lord’s body. His body was broken for our healing! 1 Corinthians 11:29-32

The primary reason most people do not get healed is ignorance of the will of God. Ignorance: Someone that is misinformed or not informed of the knowledge at hand.

Isaiah 5:13 No Knowledge Submitting yourself to Jesus Christ causes you to take hold of the benefits under His Command.

Inaccurate Teachings 1. Sickness glorifies God. FALSE Truth: Healing always glorifies God John 11:40 Luke 17:15

Inaccurate Teachings 2. Healing and miracles all passed away based on 1 Cor 13:10 FALSE Truth: This verse is referring to the Lord’s return. Compare: 1 John 3:2

Inaccurate Teachings 3. God uses sickness to teach us. FALSE Truth: The only teacher promised to us is the Holy Spirit John 14:26

Inaccurate Teachings 4. What about Job? He was a good man and God made him sick. FALSE Truth: Job spoke inaccurately in much of His discourse (Job 38:2-3) As soon as he repented, he received healing (Job 42:10)

Inaccurate Teachings 5. But Paul was sick a lot and God refused to heal him. FALSE Truth: Paul’s thorn was not a disease and it was not from God. 2 Corinthians 12:7
