My Top Five Themes – Mark Neff 1 - Strategic I naturally try to pull the complexity out of any situation and try to find the most logical solution. Some keys to working with people who are high in Strategic: Ask lots of questions, don’t be afraid to counter act Allow for interaction and team work. Ask to be shown how something works rather than tell them 2 - Relator Once I get to know people, I work extremely well with them. I also have the ability to work well with all types of people Some keys to working with people who are high in Relator: Try to include them as much as possible Create a relaxing atmosphere 3 – Includer Wants to include everyone, works to teach and involve people with new knowledge. Some keys to working with people who are high in Includer: Create interactive working sessions where everyone has a role. 4 - Analytical Searches for reasons and causes. Peels layers back for understanding. Some keys to working with people who are high in Analytical: Provide them with the numbers/background that supports your position. Getting a task done correctly may be more important than meeting a deadline 5 – Futuristic I’m always thinking about what things might be like in the future and try to think of long term impacts. Some keys to working with people high in Futuristic: Always provide options. Be creative and envision the future and impacts of current actions. Avoid situations or answers that include statements like “It’s always been done that way”
