What is a podcast? Creating and recording a jingle. Recording and editing interviews to create a podcast. Gymnastics unit Focus on balancing. Exploration of ‘counter balance’ and ‘counter tension’. Use of apparatus. Swimming – Spring 2 ‘The Viewer’ by Gary Crew Poetry writing – Using descriptive language based on illustrations. Persuasive letter Writing – Phrases to create cohesion. Presenting a balanced or biased argument. Using a variety of punctuation, including commas for clarity. Stories with a historical setting – ‘The Hero Twins’ a Mayan civilisation story. Performance Poetry – Creating an Oompa Loompa Rhyme Science PE Computing Forces Investigating how unsupported objects fall towards the Earth because of gravity. Place value in numbers with up to 6 digits. Using rounding to estimate and complete mental calculations. Addition and subtraction of powers of 10. Using all 4 written methods for calculation. Identify and describe properties of 2D & 3D shapes. Naming and classifying types of triangle and quadrilateral. Identifying regular and irregular shapes. PSHE Mayan Weaving What were they made from?
