Who am I? I’m elongated in shape I have a double membrane My outer membrane is smooth My inner membrane is folded into extensions called cristae. This is to increase my surface area. I divide independently to the cell. My main function is to create energy by the process of aerobic respiration
Who am I? I’m linked to the nuclear membrane. I can be found in the cytoplasm as a 3D network of parallel flattened sacs. I’m linked to the nuclear membrane. I may also be linked to the Golgi Body. I may be encrusted with ribosomes which makes me rough in appearance. If I do not have ribosomes attached to me I appear smooth.
Who am I? I am dark and spherical in shape. I can be found in the cytoplasm I contain and isolate digestive enzymes from the remainder of the cell. I often fuse with vacuoles containing food or damaged organelles. If I rupture, I will destroy the entire cell.
Who am I? I am a fluid filled sac with a single membrane I am not a permanent feature, I’m formed and lost as needed. I control the water content of the cytoplasm I may be formed during phagocytosis (form around the pathogen)
Who am I? I am the largest most prominent organelle of the cell My function is to control the cell’s activities I’m bound by a double membrane I contain chromosomes which are made of DNA
Who am I? I am made up of membrane bound sacs called cisternae. my function is to: package and to move protein to the outside of the cell Package and secrete secretory enzymes Formation of lysosomes.
