Monday 11/5/18 Agenda CEI Feedback – You will receive your CEI exercise back with feedback and a score. We will discuss the opportunity to redo the assignment, using the same prompts. Ethos, Logos, Pathos Review – Remember these?  We will review these persuasive techniques quickly so that you may work on your Chapter 20 activity. SURE HOPE YOU READ CHAPTER 20!  Ethos, Logos, Pathos in TKAM – Complete the Chapter 20 questions and persuasive chart (orange). Be sure to use evidence from the text in the necessary spaces on the chart. HOMEWORK – READ CHAPTERS 21 & 22 BEFORE RETURNING TO SCHOOL ON WEDNESDAY (ONLY 12 PAGES TOTAL)

Wednesday 11/7/18 Agenda Subject-Verb Agreement Review – We will use the Grammar Chomp website to check your understating and subject-verb agreement. Chapter 20-22 Review– We will quickly discuss/go over the questions for chapters 20-22. Chapter 23 Reading – We will continue to read TKAM as a class. Chapter 23 Analysis – Complete the chapter 23 questions INDIVIDUALLY,(neon yellow). HOMEWORK: Chapter 24 Reading and analysis (back side of the neon sheet)

THURSDAY 11/8/2018 Agenda (Hawk Hour Schedule) Sentence correction review – We will discuss the answers to the sentence correction questions as well as the rules that govern them. TKAM CEI #2 – Now that you have practiced breaking down CEI in steps, you will write a full CEI paragraph using the guide and prompt given. TKAM Chapter 25 – Once you have finished your CEI paragraph, begin reading chapter 25 (silently) and answer the discussion questions. TKAM Questions review – We will discuss the answers for chapters 20-25 of TKAM. Double check/revise your responses as we discuss. TKAM Reading – We will read chapters 26-27 of TKAM today. Be sure to answer the discussion questions as we read. HW: CONTINUE READING CHAPTERS 27-28 AND ANSWER THE DISCUSSION QUESTIONS. WE WILL FINISH THIS BOOK ON MONDAY! 

CCRS L.0-10.5b: Analyze nuances in the meaning of words with similar denotations.
