Welcome Rabil’s Ranchers! Please find your Rancher’s desk and have a seat! Look through the forms on the desk. They are for you to keep! If you have the ParentVue letter, please fill out the second page and to give to me. You keep the rest of the packet. Write your Rancher’s name on the sticky note and try to guess which portrait is your child’s outside on the board! Stick the note on the Rancher you think is yours!

Meet Mrs. Rabil

Did you know that daily attendance can affect our CCRPI score? CCRPI (College and Career Ready Performance Index) is the “grade” our school is given. Many factors are included in the CCRPI score. Sope Creek’s CCRPI score is 95.5 Attendance is one of those factors that can affect our score. When a student is absent for more than 5 days (excused or unexcused) it affects our CCRPI score. Our CCRPI score will go down with many absences We want to keep our AMAZING score! Please make sure your child comes to school!

Parent Volunteer Sub Training You will be provided with a schedule and plans for the timeframe. It will overlap either specials or lunch time. You do not need to introduce new material or assign grades. Please maintain student confidentiality. Your responsibilities: Keep the students safe. Do not take them outside. Only release students when called from the front office. You are a mandated reporter. If you see any signs of abuse, please tell the teacher. Support if there are disruptive students and call the office if you need help. (Ext. 037) Emergency folder by the door. Check for allergies in the classroom. Possibly get pulled for another classroom if there isn’t coverage. Please sign the sheet to say you are trained.

Academics Reading: Groups, guided, literature circles, independent, novel studies, choice books to work on comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, etc. Writing: Opinion, narrative, informational, quick writes, journals, etc. Math: Critical areas: Fractions, decimals, word problems, long division, multi-digit multiplication, fact fluency, Social Studies: Effective Citizenship Civil War & Reconstructions Westward Movement Immigration WWI, Jazz Age, and Great Depression WWII , Cold War, Vietnam Economics Civil Rights Science: Constructive/Destructive Forces Matter Chemical and Physical Changes Electricity and Magnetism Plant and Animal Cells Microorganisms Classification of Plants & Animals

ClassDojo Offensive 1: You will get a DoJo point taken away Offensive 2: You will get another DoJo point taken away and sit out part of recess, parents will be notified Offensive 3: You will get another DoJo point taken away, sit out part of recess and parents will be asked in for a conference. Other actions as needed: taking away fun activates such as the fifth grade trip, Book Buddies, Field Day, Art Day, etc.

“Nuts and Bolts” Private school applications – need 1 week to complete Transportation changes MUST be in writing – no emails Visitors MUST sign in; it’s the law! No “drop-offs”! (homework, Target bags, book bags, etc.) The only exceptions are eyeglasses, lunches, and medications.
