Peanut’s story The Peanuts strip was originally founded with the title of Li'l Folks ( little people ) , a Sunday comic page that appeared in the newspaper of Schulz's hometown . Peanuts is remarkable for its deft social criticism , especially compared with the other comics contemporary with it in the fifties and sixties . Schulz did not explicitly denounces the problems of race, gender and social inequality but makes them obvious . Peanuts was probably the comic strip 's most popular success between 1965 and 1980

From comics to cardboard Garfield is a comic strip created by Jim Davis featuring the cat Garfield, Odie the dog and their owner Jon Arbuckle. The history of Garfield began in the seventies , at that time in the strip many of the actors were dogs , but few had a cat as the main character . He decided to base his new strip on a cat . He took the name of the main character from his grandfather: James A. Garfield Davis. Suddenly arrived the success of the lazy cat that in 1988 the CBS devotes an animated series , titled Garfield and Friends . On 1st September began this invasion by Garfield on T.V so that it was broadcasted in Italy too. Garfield has become part of those comics that have invaded the big screen .
