Wirebonding UCSB FNAL Machines K&S wirebonders: Currently 3 at FNAL and 1 at UCSB – Model 8090’s USCB purchasing an 8060 for hybrids: smaller, much cheaper Timing: FNAL regained the record from UCSB! Estimates with 2 persons working (1 operator + 1 support tech.) Modules: <10 minutes each Hybrids: <7 minutes each

Recent Example of Actual Times UCSB Production of 10 modules (2003 ST sensors) 4 plates run in 5 hours (3 x 3 + 1 x 1) Wirebonded in < 2.5 hours (one person) Tested in 4 hours (one person)
