Sharing: What have you found that was like lost treasure to you?

This week in the Treasure Hunters series you are going to find your passion!

What is Passion? Turn to the person next to you and ask them to define the word Passion and then you take a turn defining it.

Passion is a God-given desire to make a difference in some area of life or ministry and involves your greatest emotional energy.

Passion is a burden, dream, vision, or call.

Passion is a spiritual thing.

Passion is something that you care deeply about.

Passion motivates you to action.

Passion acts like a magnet, drawing us to our place of ministry.

Passion makes impossibilities possible.

How do you find your God-given Passion?

Here are 7 clues to finding your passion:

1. What topic excites you the most 1. What topic excites you the most? Imagine we meet together for the first time. We talk about a few things in casual conversation and then you get really excited as you start to talk about a topic that really grips you. It is the one thing that always stirs you. The things we talk about with the most enthusiasm are generally things we are passionate about.

2. What do you daydream about the most 2. What do you daydream about the most? When we have spare moments we will tend to think about things that really matter to us.

3. What are your top 5 life achievements 3. What are your top 5 life achievements? When we look back at what we have already accomplished in our life we get some hints as to what we are passionate about.

4. What activities make you lose track of time 4. What activities make you lose track of time? When you are operating on things that you are passionate about, you lose track of time.

5. How do you want to make a difference in your world 5. How do you want to make a difference in your world? People who fulfil their passion make a purposeful difference around then. They have an inner confidence that they are where God wants them to be - in a place where God is using them to make a difference.

6. What activities leave you energised 6. What activities leave you energised? Your passion is something that energises you!

Look for key words and phrases that appear in your answers to each question.

Complete the sentence: My Passion is…

7. Does your passion pass the following two tests: (a) Does it glorify God? (b) Does it edify people?

Tweak your passion statement to ensure that it glorifies God and edified people!

Share your passion with people in your group.

All that remains if for you to live your passion!

Let’s pray

Next week we will be hunting for more treasure as we help you find your mission!
