Literacy activity: Prepositions

Prepositions The next slide contains a list of prepositions and four pictures. In groups, students have to write as many different sentences as they can describing the pictures but starting with a different preposition for each picture. The aim is to try to improve the variety of sentence starters.

PREPOSITIONS Start sentences with as many of these prepositions as you can. For instance: On the ocean there sailed a ship. Aboard above among around at behind below beneath beside between in inside near next to off on opposite outside over plus regarding round save since than through towards under
