A Peek at This Week in… Camargo’s 1st Grade Reminders Math Reading August 11, 2014 Reminders Please remember to look at and sign your child’s agenda every night. If you have any transportation changes, please attach them as an extra note in the agenda. Remember to read every night!! Math This week, we are reviewing number recognition from 1-20. We will be getting ready to focus on addition! Reading This week, we are adventuring into fiction text. We will be working on identifying characters and setting in a story. Thank you so much for all the school supplies!! We are so excited to be starting back to school! Phonics Our focus this week will be the recognition of the letters of the alphabet, upper and lowercase, as review, to help prepare us for the upcoming year! Writing We will be working on reviewing sentence structure (capitals, spaces, and periods), as well as connecting to phonics. Upcoming Events Social Studies This week, we will be getting to know each other as well as working on our speaking skills! Please remember to help your child complete a “Me Bag”!
