Sample Passage analyses for ISU Journal Response 1 Photocopy 2 passages that you feel illustrate the theme. Analyze the text to see how the author conveys this theme, i.e. through his/her use of literary terms, and patterns, etc. Let's look at my ISU novel Handle With Care by Jodi Picoult.
