Presentation transcript:

Non-Standard Gift Acceptance Policy The [ORGANIZATION] solicits and accepts gifts that are consistent with its mission. In the course of its regular fundraising activities, in addition to cash, [ORGANIZATION] will accept donations of real property, personal property, stock, and in-kind services. Certain types of gifts must be reviewed prior to acceptance by the Executive Director and the Executive Committee due to the special liabilities they may pose for [ORGANIZATION]. Examples of gifts which will be subject to review include gifts of real property, gifts of personal property, and gifts of securities that are subject to restrictions or buy-sell agreements. Gifts that are conditional must be reviewed by the Executive Committee prior to acceptance if the conditions are considered to be unusual by the Executive Director. All decisions to solicit and/or accept potentially controversial gifts will be made by the Executive Committee of the Board in consultation with the Executive Director. The primary consideration will be the appropriateness of the gift and its implications for the organization. /npccny 135 West 36th Street, 15th Floor, New York, NY 10018 | npccny.org Office. 212-502-4191 Fax. 212-502-4189
