Why is brushing your teeth important? Plaque produces acid when you eat or drink sugary foods and can cause a hole in your tooth The germs that build up in your mouth every day are called plaque. Key stage 1 – lesson 1

2. As we grow up our baby teeth fall out and our adult teeth grow 3. We do not get any more new teeth again, so if we don’t look after our adult teeth, they will be gone forever. 2. The fluoride content is always written on the side of the tube, you could perhaps bring a tube of toothpaste in and point it out to the children.
