to this gospel of Christ. Conversions in Acts Christians are those who have been saved by the grace of God through the blood of Christ accepted through their faithful obedience to this gospel of Christ. Grace is the gift of God to man demonstrated in the giving of His son as the only acceptable sacrifice for sin. Through Jesus death burial and resurrection and specifically the shed blood of Jesus man has the opportunity of being redeemed back to God.

The historical book of Acts traces the impact of Gods grace Conversions in Acts The historical book of Acts traces the impact of Gods grace on the life of people in the first century As Jesus was lifted up as king and redeemer by the proclamation of the good news of the kingship of the risen Christ. We see mans response to the good news and the way that thousands accepted the offer of salvation that was available through the blood of Jesus.

the door for us to have our sins forgiven and Conversions in Acts The gift of Gods Grace through the death burial and resurrection of Jesus opened the door for us to have our sins forgiven and to receive the indwelling gift of the Holy Spirit and walk a new way of life in Christ Jesus. The same offer of salvation through the blood of Jesus is available today in the same way as it was made available so long ago. We need to respond in the same way to be born again to a living hope.

Write down as a YES or IMPLIED under Conversions in Acts Please read the text in your own bibles and see if you can identify how men and women became Christians in the first century Write down as a YES or IMPLIED under what you see in the text as mans response to the good news about the sacrifice of Jesus. Then move to the next slide and check the chart to see if what you found in the text matches the chart and by the end of the book of Acts you should see a pattern emerge as to how men and women became Christians.

we could not do for ourselves THE WAY OF SALVATION. God has done for us what we could not do for ourselves We were sinners perishing, condemned to death because of our own sins God demonstrated His grace by accepting the blood that was shed by the death burial and resurrection of His son as payment for our sins and sinfulness. We need to respond to accept God’s offer of Grace in faithful obedience.

We find from the book of Acts that THE WAY OF SALVATION. We find from the book of Acts that People are given the opportunity to hear the good news of the sacrifice of Jesus. They had to make a choice whether or not to respond to the message of God’s grace. Those who believed and repented, confessed their belief in Jesus and were baptized. We are told that they then received the forgiveness of their sins and the indwelling gift of the Holy Spirit and were added to God’s kingdom, His family, the Church.
