3 Historie 1977 | The idea of utilising energy from the sun leads to the development of solar collectors Development and production of heating and hot water pump to utilise environmental heat in the private and industrial sector The DHE, the first fully electronic instantaneous water heater in the world. The notion of convenience takes on a new dimension when it comes to the generation of hot water.

4 Historie 1991 The product range is expanded by systems for domestic ventilation with heat recovery The integrated unit LWZ 303. This unique appliance of ventilation, heating and hot water generation | The EXPO 2000 project Hofanlage Brombeerweg, a residential development of low-energy houses.

5 Historie 2002 | Acquisition of the HVACR devision of Electrolux Deutschland. STIEBEL takes over Electrolux-Haustechnik with the AEG and Zanker brands | The most modern and lergest factory for heat pumps in Central Europe is build at the production site in Holzminden Opening of a second heat pump factory in Holzminden.

WATER HEATING RENEWABLES AIR CONDITIONING CENTRAL HEATING Heat pump principles... Alexander Klein |

18 How does it work? Flow Return Expansion valve Condenser Injection line ( wet gas) Liquid line (liquid process medium) Heating output Compressor Inlet line (gaseous process medium/refrigerant) Pressure line (hot gas) Electrical energy Evaporator Environmental heat

19 What makes it efficient? The rule is: For every °C higher flow rate temperature we have to invest around 3% higher running cost! Source: Internet Temperature difference source/ heating system in °K Leistungszahl= COP COP in relation to the temp. Diff.

24 Horizontal collector | Enlargement factor This chart is calculated to the running hours on German outdoor temperatures. In warmer regions the factor will be smaller because of more energy that you will get from the ground even in wintertime. In colder once it has to be bigger.
