March 16, 2016 Day A Exploratory Social Studies Mandarin/Express LUNCH English Science Math

Activator: Take out your packet. March 16, 2016 [Day A] Take out your packet. On pg. 165, create an equation for Problem Set #3 t = 10 + 5w or t = 5w + 10 What we saved each week. What we started with

Objective(s): I will be able to: analyze an equation in two variables, choose an independent variable and a dependent variable make a table make a graph for the equation by plotting the points in the table. So that I can complete pg. 164 independently or with my partner with at least 80% accuracy. 6.EE.B.5 and 6.EE.B.8

Notes: Generally, - the independent variable is along the x-axis. - the dependent variable is along the y-axis (the x-axis is the horizontal   axis) (the y-axis is the vertical [up & down] axis) dependent variable independent variable

Pg. 165 : #3 I do Independent variable: Dependent variable: Number of weeks (w) Total amount saved in dollars (t) # of weeks (w) Total saved in $ (t) 10 1 15 2 20 25 3 4 30 5 35 6 40 7 45 8 50 # of weeks (w)

Pg. 165 : #4 we do… The total cost in dollars depends on how many pounds of apples are bought. Therefore, the total cost in dollars is the dependent variable, and the # of pounds of apples is the independent variable. T= 1.50a + 10

How do you feel? topic.

Classwork: g. 164 Use your notes from pg. 165 March 16, 2016 [Day A] Classwork: g. 164 Use your notes from pg. 165 Work independently first (10 mins.) Work with a partner (10 mins.) 1
