Our Vision & Mission To work to improve lives and communities in Cambuslang and Rutherglen through community led initiatives that enable people to take an active part in ensuring their own, their families and their community’s health and wellbeing
The Way We Work Rebecca to cover As a community development trust, how we do things is as important is what we do. We take a positive, assets based, preventative approach, working with individuals and communities to become resilient and healthy. This means we start with what we have - enabling people to achieve change using their own knowledge, skills and experience of the issues affecting them. We utilise three key ways of working in order to generate health and wellbeing: Rebecca to cover 3
What we do Transforming Lives Transforming Communities Number 18 In 2017-18 we worked with over 800 local people of all ages in order to increase their self-confidence and the personal assets and enhance knowledge and understanding of health issues and healthy living options, particularly around the stigma of mental health issues. Transforming Communities During 2017-18 we worked with over 5000 local people directly and indirectly to achieve all they wished for themselves, their families and their communities. Number 18 Our community Hub. We’ve refurbished the building creating a venue space for the use of the community and its residents, with two floors of multi- purpose rooms available for hire.

What we do Foster a cycling spirit Help the environment Build a healthy n happy, inclusive and diverse cycling community where everyone feels comfortable collaborating no matter their background or life experience. Create a safe environment where people volunteer their time and cycling expertise to each other. Help the environment We accept unused or unwanted bikes, saving them from landfill and upcycling to new homes. By encouraging cycling as a means of transport instead of other forms we are working to reduce carbon emissions. Increasing wellbeing Support people from all walks of life to get on two wheels, get fitter physically and emotionally and to have fun. Individuals have a right to enjoy their surroundings and the world we live in – cycling helps to do this..
What we do Focus on Learning Improve availability Develop peoples skills in how to cycle safely, repair and maintain bikes and to increase confidence. Improve availability Provide affordable and accessible bikes and cycling related courses to local communities and hard to reach groups.
