Literacy Phonics Maths Notices Newsletter Reception Class 24th June 2016 Literacy This week we have been talking about the equipment we would need to take with us to the jungle. We have been writing lists and packing our bags ready to go exploring. We have also been reading the different adventures of Elmer and have been looking closely at African and Asian elephants. Everyone has done some fantastic writing and has made Miss Brown very proud, well done! This week we have been looking at the different cultures. We have been learning about the tribes of the rainforest. We have looked at their living conditions, what they eat, and what they wear. We have all found this very interesting. In addition to this, we have enjoyed reading the story of Elmer and looking at the differences and similarities of African and Asian Elephants. You have all worked very hard, well done! Phonics Miss Browns Group: Phase 4 clusters and tricky words. Mrs. Randall's and Mrs Fakirova’s Group: Phase 3 sounds and tricky words. Maths This week we have been looking at solving sharing problems. We have done this practically by sharing peanuts between the two elephants Elmer and Wilbur. Notices This weeks homework is to complete the small task in your Learning Together books. Please can everyone try to do as much reading as possible at home. Many thanks, Miss Brown.
