NEWTON’S THIRD LAW OF MOTION AND MOMENTUM By Egan Crawford & Chloe Walker

Newton’s Third Law Let’s say you have two cars. If you have one car crash into one that is still, the car being hit, will move back with the same amount of force as the first car hit it with.

Action and reaction forces If Hillary punches Trump in the face, her fist hitting his face is the action force. The reaction force is Trumps face against the force of her hand. Or if Trump leans up against a wall, that is the action force. The reaction force is the wall holding up trumps massive amount of weight, pushing back against him. You can add and subtract forces

Action Forces and Motion Let’s say you push trump off of a boat into shark infested waters. Trump is obviously going to try to swim away from those blood thirsty sharks. The action force is Trump moving his arm forward, the motion would be the water pushing against his arm propelling him forwards. This motion propels him forwards because the direction always follows the way the force is going. Therefore his arm pushing against the water propels him forwards.

Momentum The quantity of motion of a moving body, measured as a product of its mass and velocity.
