Mrs. Yoder’s Art Corner: Hi Lakeshore Leopard families! I am beyond excited to be joining Mrs. May as a 2nd teacher for our Visual Arts program here at Lakeshore Elementary this year. Along with Art becoming a full, year long experience for your students, another exciting change will be a monthly news update about the awesome events and happenings of our art program! Mrs. Yoder’s Art Corner: November Issue Did you Know… We are very proud of our Leopards! Upcoming Events: Rodeo Art: chosen finalists will have an opportunity to have their work displayed/judged at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. More info to come! Fine Arts Festival: This event is always tons of fun and this year is extra special! We are celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Fine Arts Festival here in Humble I.S.D. Stay tuned for more details about this awesome event held in April! Your student’s Art has an opportunity to be chosen for display in multiple places throughout the district. The Atascocita community library, Humble I.S.D. main office and Kingwood Hospital to name a few! We are learning about... Our Lakeshore Leopards are in full rodeo swing! Each grade level has been creating amazing rodeo themed art this semester with Mrs. May and I. We tie in Art History along with the elements and principles of design to ensure each student has the tools needed to become confident, successful artists. We are in awe daily of the artistic talent our Leopards posses. Ask your student what they have created lately!
