Explanation/interpretation of the variables and the forest plot: [1] Rate 1 is the proportion of successes (either implantations or clinical or ongoing pregnancies) with coculture; [2] Rate 2 is the proportion of successes (either implantations or clinical or ongoing pregnancies) with control; [3] Effect is calculated as Rate 1 − Rate 2. Note that for “Number of Blastomeres per Embryo” (Fig. 2), the Effect is the standardized mean for coculture minus the standardized mean for the control; [4] Lower and Upper represent the 95% confidence interval for the Effect; [5] N Total is the total sample size for that outcome; and [6] PValue is the P value used to assess the significance of the coculture effect on the outcome. If the Effect is greater than 0 and the P value is <.05, then there is statistically significant evidence of a beneficial coculture impact on fertility markers.
