Figure 1 The Identification of FOXO3 as a Marker of Disease Outcomes An integrative analytic approach that utilizes data from GWAS and clinical outcomes along with work in human monocytes and mouse models has revealed that differences in FOXO3 levels alter the balance of proinflammatory (TNF) versus anti-inflammatory (IL10) cytokine production. This influences the outcome of various diseases that are either exacerbated or ameliorated by these inflammatory responses.
